How to Maintain Your Spa? Complete Guide to Market Spas Maintenance Products

A well-maintained spa ensures healthy water, long-lasting equipment, and optimal comfort every time you use it. A few simple steps are enough to protect your investment and fully enjoy your relaxation time.

This complete guide explains how to use each maintenance product, how often, and in what order to keep your water crystal clear all year round.

⚠️

WARNING — Protect your spa’s acrylic: Using unsuitable products can cause osmosis, a chemical reaction that gradually damages the surface of the shell. Use only spa-specific products (not pool products) that resist high temperatures.

🚫

Never: use rainwater, add essential oils to the spa, or use pool products. Spa products are formulated to withstand higher temperatures and dissolve better in warm water.

📅 Weekly maintenance routine

Each week, perform this simple treatment to keep your water perfectly balanced and disinfected.

🔄 Your weekly routine in 4 steps

  1. Measure the amount of All-In-One according to the instructions on the bottle (usually 100ml per 1000L of water)
  2. Pour the solution directly into the spa water
  3. Run the pumps for 2 minutes to distribute the product evenly
  4. Add a slow chlorine tablet to the skimmer or a floating dispenser
⏱️

Recommended filtration time: Minimum 8 hours per day for normal use. Adjust according to water volume and spa usage frequency.

💧 All-In-One — The complete weekly treatment

📋 Instructions for use

  1. Calculate the number of tablets based on your spa volume (1 tablet per 2m³)
  2. Place the tablet(s) in the skimmer or a floating dispenser
  3. Renew every 5 to 7 days
  4. Regularly check chlorine levels with test strips
⚠️

Important: Never put chlorine tablets directly into the spa shell! Direct contact with acrylic can cause discoloration. Always use the skimmer or a floating dispenser.

⚖️ pH+ and pH- — Balance your spa water

The pH is a key parameter to maintain healthy and comfortable water. An unbalanced pH can reduce disinfectant effectiveness, cause skin irritation, and damage equipment.

🎯 The pH scale — Aim for the ideal range

Ideal range: 7.2 - 7.6
0 (Acidic) 7 (Neutral) 14 (Basic)
⬇️ pH too low (< 7.2)

The water is acidic, which can cause corrosion of spa components and irritation for bathers.

Solution: Use pH+ to raise the pH.

⬆️ pH too high (> 7.8)

The water is basic, promoting limescale deposits and reducing disinfectant effectiveness.

Solution: Use pH- to lower the pH.

⚖️

pH+ and pH- — pH Correctors

€13.95 / 1L each

pH correctors adjust the water's acidity level to ensure treatment effectiveness and user comfort.

Target
pH between 7.2 and 7.6
Ideal
pH = 7.4
Check
At least once a week

📋 Instructions for use

  1. Test the water pH with test strips or an electronic tester
  2. If the pH is outside the 7.2-7.6 range, calculate the amount of corrector needed based on the water volume
  3. Dissolve the required amount in a bucket of water
  4. Pour into the running spa (pumps on)
  5. Wait 2 hours then retest the pH

🛡️ Defender — Anti-limescale Protection

🧹 Filter Cleaner — Filter Cleaning

🧹

Filter Cleaner — Filter Cleaner

€24.95 / 500g

The Filter Cleaner dissolves grease, oils, and limescale deposits to maintain your filters’ efficiency. Clean filters = clear water and a well-functioning spa.

Cleaning frequency
Every 1-2 weeks
Filter replacement
Every 6 months
Soaking time
1 to 1.5 hours

📋 Instructions — Filter Cleaning

  1. Remove the filter from the skimmer
  2. Place it in a bucket of warm water
  3. Sprinkle 2 doses of Filter Cleaner directly onto the filter
  4. Let soak for 1 to 1.5 hours, turning the filter occasionally
  5. Rinse thoroughly with a strong water jet
  6. For best results, use a special filter brush
  7. Put the clean filter back into the skimmer
⚠️

When to change filters? Replace your filters every 6 months, even if they look fine. Over time, the mesh loosens and lets more impurities through. A clogged filter can damage the spa.

🚿 Spa Cleaner — Pipe Cleaning

🚿

Spa Cleaner — Pipe Cleaner

€24.95 / 500ml

The Spa Cleaner deeply cleans the pipes and internal spa components. Over time, a biofilm (layer of bacteria and organic residues) forms inside the plumbing. This product effectively removes it.

Frequency
At each draining (every 3 months)
Dosage
250 ml per treatment
Action time
24 hours

📋 Instructions — The day before draining

  1. Remove and clean the filter (important!)
  2. Add 250 ml of Spa Cleaner to the spa water
  3. Open all jets and air valves
  4. Run the pumps for 15 minutes
  5. Let it work for 24 hours (do not use the spa)
  6. The next day, run the pumps 2× for 15 minutes
  7. Drain the spa and rinse thoroughly with a garden hose
  8. Replace the clean filter and refill with fresh water
🚫

Important: Do not use the spa during the cleaning process (24h). Spa Cleaner lifts impurities from the pipes; the water is not safe for bathing during this time.

🫧 Foam Down — Anti-foam

🫧

Foam Down — Anti-foam

€18.50 / 500ml

Foam Down quickly removes surface foam without leaving residues. Foam can be caused by body product residues (creams, soaps, makeup) or excess disinfectant.

Frequency
As needed
Action
Immediate
Application
Directly on the foam

📋 Instructions for use

  1. Shake the bottle before use
  2. Spray directly on the foam
  3. The foam disappears within seconds
💡

Tip: To prevent foam formation, ask users to rinse before entering the spa (sunscreens, soaps, etc.). Persistent foam can also indicate it's time to change the water.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use pool products in my spa?
No, it’s strongly discouraged. Spa products are specially formulated to withstand higher temperatures (35-40°C). They are finer and dissolve better in hot water. Pool products can cause osmosis and damage your spa’s acrylic shell.
How often should I change my spa water?
On average, every 3 to 6 months depending on usage frequency. If you use your spa daily with several people, change the water every 3 months. For occasional use, 4 to 6 months is enough. Take advantage of each drain to clean the pipes with Spa Cleaner.
How long should the filtration run?
At least 8 hours per day for normal use. If you use your spa heavily or if the water tends to get cloudy, increase to 10-12 hours. Filtration can run in multiple cycles spread throughout the day.
Can I put essential oils in my spa?
No, never. Essential oils can damage seals, pumps, and the acrylic shell. Use only special spa liquid aromas (like our Spring Flower, Orchid Summer scents, etc.) formulated to be compatible with your equipment.
What should I do if my water remains cloudy despite treatment?
Several possible causes: dirty filters (clean them), insufficient filtration time (increase to at least 8 hours), unbalanced pH (correct it), or water that’s too old (drain and refill with fresh water). If the problem continues after checking all these points, contact our technical support.
Should I treat the water in winter if I’m not using the spa?
Yes! If you keep your spa filled with water at a low temperature (active winterizing recommended), continue treatment once a month (All-In-One + Slow Chlorine + Defender if you have hard water). Before using the spa again, adjust the chlorine level the day before.
