Things to know

Do I need to provide a specific power supply for my SPA?

Yes. It is essential to have a dedicated electrical line installed with an appropriate residual current circuit breaker. Most spas require a 230V or 380V power supply, depending on the model. Check the required power (in kW) and ask a qualified electrician to prepare the line before delivery.
Unless it’s a Plug&Play model!

On what type of ground can a SPA be installed?

A perfectly flat, stable, and weight-resistant surface is necessary. A concrete slab at least 10-15 cm thick is strongly recommended. A reinforced terrace may be suitable, but it must be approved by a building professional.

Should a water supply be planned?

Not necessarily. Spas are usually filled using a garden hose. However, having a nearby water supply can make the filling process easier. It is also recommended to have a water drainage system (e.g., a siphon or grate) for emptying.

What minimum space should be allowed around the SPA?

Allow at least 50 cm around the spa to provide easy access to all technical panels for maintenance. If the SPA is built-in, provide easily removable access hatches.

Can the SPA be installed indoors?

Yes, but with precautions: you need effective ventilation, a floor and wall covering resistant to moisture, and plan for water drainage in case of overflow. The electrical installation must also be suitable for a humid environment.

Do I need a building permit or authorization?

Not in most cases, especially for spas installed on the ground. However, if you plan a significant structure (shelter, terrace, technical room), check with your local town hall.

How long does it take to install the SPA?

The installation itself (excluding preparation) usually takes between 1 and 3 hours. If you have properly prepared the electrical work, the slab, and the access points, it will be very quick.

Do I need to be present during delivery and installation?

Yes. Your presence or that of a representative is essential to indicate the exact location, check access, and confirm proper operation once the SPA is installed.
